Your weekly dose of the best new sounds around the continent!

“Close To Me” – Juls x Agent Sasco x Wizkid x Jael

Juls has teased his debut album all year, and it's finally here. On its opening track, he enlisted the talents of Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, Jamaican dancehall DJ Agent Sasco and R&B singer Jael. Although this looks like a wonky combination on paper, the trio flows smoothly together and Juls lives up to expectations with a superb production that ices the cake on this beautiful love song.

“Coming home” – MzVee x Tiwa Savage

Ghanaian Afropop and R&B singer MzVee is back with her third single of the year, and it features the one and only African Bad Girl, Tiwa Savage. An ode to love and its surrounding emotions, the track sees both songstresses sing in alternating verses.

“Ale Yi” – Zlatan

Zlatan, the head of the Zanku movement, is back with a new song. "Ale Yi" is the follow-up to August's "Alubarika" featuring Buju. Produced by Niphkeys and sung in a slow tone, something we aren't used to from the typically upbeat Ibile, "Ale Yi'' is a song to vibe to alone or with friends.

“Outside” – Tochi Bedford

SInger and producer Tochi Bedford has been teasing his new EP, After Eternity, for a while, and has set the ball rolling with the first single from the project "Outside." As expected, he also produced the track and features his gritty vocals over a sharp beat. It’s a great start to this new era and we can't wait to see what he has in store for us.

“Gone Far” – Zinoleesky

"Kilofese'' crooner, Zinoleesky, is back with a new single. Over measured production, "Gone Far" paints a picture of the singer's steady rise in the industry, to the surprise of his detractors who doubted him. As the drums beat steadily, he belts out the chorus, "Gone when you don't expect/give them what they don't expect,” confirming his unpredictability in switching up sounds to show his wide range of musical styles.

“Let Me Love you” – Whoisakin

As the title suggests, "Let Me Love You" is a love song dedicated to Whoisakin's love interest. Full of emotion, the lyrics describe his lover's features which drew him to her, as well as the extent to which his affection for her stretches. The single is an appetizer of sorts as we expect his upcoming project.

“Makossa riddim” – Juls x Haile

Another stellar cut off Juls Sounds of My World album, ""Makossa Riddim" features afroswing artiste Haile of WSTRN. The track status is true to its title, with a rhythm that gingers you to get on your feet and bust a couple of moves immediately after the first strains of the tube reach your ears.

“My Bella” – Benjiflow x Oxlade

R&B singer Benjiflow partners with Oxlade for this soft tune about a beautiful girl who has captured his heart. Oxlade's distinct falsetto compliments Benjiflow's subtle but firm flow perfectly as the pair croon about this wonderful woman's hold on them in alternating verses.
