Bside’s mandate, right from the onset, has always been to document the culture, accurately, appropriately and meticulously. In furtherance of this mandate, and in addition to our in-depth BlackBox interviews, we have launched three new podcasts: Behind The Scenes, Dive and Unrestrained.
Behind The Scenes is a podcast aimed at inspiring conversations with creatives within the African cinema space by having striking conversations on issues affecting the industry in terms of growth, structure, the business of film well as its impact on the African continent. It is hosted by Damilola, our resident film writer who is joined by different guests every week.
Dive, hosted by our resident senior writer Boluwatife, is a podcast aimed at dissecting and analyzing relevant music topics and various mainstream and subcultures.
Unrestrained, as the name suggests, is Chiamaka, our resident lifestyle writer giving her undiluted and controversial takes on everything from sex to lifestyle and also discussing topics that are relevant to the young generation.
