Mr Eazi's Detty Rave is Back This Summer

The Road to Detty Rave tour kicks off this Summer between July 31 and August 31.


Afropop innovator and African music business personality, Mr Eazi is restoring his annual Detty Rave series to its former glory. As part of a significant post-pandemic push in 2022, Mr Eazi plans to visit Ghana's colleges first while paving the way to the eagerly awaited return of Detty Rave in December.


The Road to Detty Rave tour kicks off this Summer between July 31 and August 31. The University of Cape Coast; Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Ghana (Legon) are the affirmed three, while a fourth college will be chosen following the results of an internet-based survey.


Every occasion will be facilitated by Mr Eazi alongside surprise visitors as they tour West Africa with live TV coverage across Africa. Fans wishing to join the party can acquire access when tickets for every show go on sale later this summer.


Since its maiden edition in 2017, Detty Rave has been a significant draw of West Africa's #DettyDecember schedule, bringing a top cast of global entertainers to Accra, including Rick Ross, Koffee, Giggs, Afro B, Kranium, King Promise, Simi, Busiswa and KiDI, buoyed by sets from Africa's top DJs.


The Coronavirus pandemic constrained Mr Eazi to set the occasion aside briefly following 2019's Rick Ross-featured version, however, with interest for open-air entertainment at an unequalled high, he is bringing the occasion back with the theme, "Da Funk."


According to Mr Eazi, "Since I coined the term that has become inseparable from December happiness in West Africa, #DettyDecember, Detty Rave has been an occasion that everybody counts down to."


"It's turned into a journey. It's forever been fun arranging the experience and bringing individuals overall to rave in Ghana, so being back this year following two entire years apart is lovely."


Detty Rave is coordinated and introduced by emPawa Live, the performance music division of emPawa Africa, Mr Eazi's African music servicing company and organisation.


While Eazi guarantees an A-list rundown of visitors at every version of the event, all eyes are on the shenanigans sure to ensue at the Detty Rave in December. Returning to the foundations of his career, there is significant expectation as Eazi is staying quiet about the rundown of entertainers.
