Fendi on Fendi on Fendi!
Blaqbonez has shared a brand new video for “Fendi”, one of the standout songs from his second major-label LP Sex > Love.
Earlier in the year, the 25-year-old Chocolate City signee released his well-received debut album, which has raked in millions of streams, earned him several notable co-signs, and placed him as one of the hottest acts around. The ebullient and melodic album carefully oscillates between a number of genres: Afropop, rap and trap music while managing to sound incredibly cohesive. It also features noteworthy heavyweights like Nasty C, Tiwa Savage, AQ, and talented upcoming names like Psycho YP and Cheque. Prior to the album release, he dropped the Buju and Amarae-assisted lead single, “Bling” which garnered massive airplay and earned him a well-deserved spot at the top of the Apple Music Top 100 charts. The single was later accompanied by a glittery music video which also earned him first million views on Youtube.
The rapper may well be on his way to another million views with the release of crisp visuals for “Fendi” which features Afropop heartthrob Joeboy. Directed by close collaborator TG Omori, the sleek video features both artistes decked out in Fendi outfits, dancing and singing amongst various charming vixens. Speaking about the video, Blaqbonez says “It’s an amazing video, TG Omori came through and there’s a lot of fine & sexy African women in the video.”
